The Aspire-Imagine-Motivate program supports career exploration and promotes post-secondary aspirations for middle school students.

VREC partners with Northwoods Stewardship Center annually to provide a day of self-reflection and leadership training for 8th grade students each spring.

Expeditionary Field Studies

Providing middle school students with multi-day, place-based learning experiences such as canoeing, hiking and learning about ocean ecology on the Maine Coast.

Mini-grants

VREC provides grants to schools within our collaborative for student-led, place-based learning, community-based service learning projects, and to support diversity, equity and inclusive practices. LEARN MORE

Workforce Development

VREC was awarded a grant from the Vermont Agency of Education to collaborate with NEK school systems and institutions of higher education to develop pathways for teacher licensure. LEARN MORE
